I am a Midwesterner who brings together my expertise in design, studio arts, and education to excel in creative adventures & projects.

As a designer I collaborate with clients from a diverse multitude of backgrounds, nationalities, and cultures to create unique and functional design solutions. Being an avid self-learner, I’ve enjoyed continually expanding my skills in design software, design theory, and production. My decade of design work ranges wide in both medium and message, which attests to my ability to adjust to any project.

As an artist I investigate into the ideas of “home,” history, and masculinity through the act of art-making. My intermedia practice utilizes a collaboration between traditional and digital art. Materials and processes are a critical aspect to my work because they both carry meaning. I’ve had the joy to exhibit my work nationally and internationally for the past 10 years.

As an educator I diligently create and provide engaging opportunities for students to learn and develop skills. My classes are design or art studios where students practice independence while I provide basic framework and guidance. Students take ownership of their learning. Because I’ve taught college and high school, I’ve enjoyed teaching a huge diversity of students. My expertise in soft skills are critical because good relationships, organization, and adaptability are constantly at work while teaching.

  • Soft skills

  • Creative problem solving
